My name is Héctor Castellanos Villalpando, I´m born in San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico, a town called " The architectural jewel of Los Altos " in the emblematic "Altos de Jalisco", land of work and good people.
I am a civil engineer and master in valuation.
I am passionate about innovation issues in infrastructure with special emphasis on the comprehensive management of water resources and each of the stages of the urban water cycle, such as providing drinking water services and its treatment, as well as issues related to the environment and climate change.
I am a member of different national and international associations of my profession such as the College of Engineers of the State of Jalisco, Intergroup Council of Appraisers, Mexican Association of Hydraulics, International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) and at the International Water Association
Over the 5 years of my professional experience i have held positions related to infrastructure in public service at the municipal and state levels. My last affiliation was the Junta Intermunicipal de Medio Ambiente Altos Sur(JIAS). My functions was to generate strategies to achieve the strengthening of municipal services in terms of Waste Management, Wastewater Treatment and Energy Efficiency. As well as the normative homologation and municipal environmental public policy. This system called JIMA (Junta Intermunicipal) is an innovative planning model that allows generating public policies that transcend a group of geographically united municipalities that decide to unite to solve common problems.
