José Alejandro Madrid Rea, a native of Hermosillo Sonora, Mexico, was born on March 19th, 1986. He began his undergraduate studies in architecture in 2006, completing his career in 2012 at the University of Sonora. Throughout this educational period, he had the opportunity to participate in two academic stays. The first one was during the seventh semester at the UGR-ETSAG (University of Granada – Higher Technical School of Architecture of Granada 2010-1), while the second took place in the ninth semester at the UADY-FAUADY (Autonomous University of Yucatán – Faculty of Architecture of the Autonomous University of Yucatan 2011-1).
During the eighth semester of his degree, he obtained an honorable mention in the II Regional Biennial of Sonora Architecture 2012 in the "Academic Project" category for his work on the project "Restoration of the San Luis Church, located in the city of Granada, Spain." In addition, he participated in ENEA 2012 during the ninth semester, the 24th National Meeting of Architecture Students, where he also achieved two honorable mentions, one in the team category and another individually. These mentions were granted by the Institute of Architecture, Design and Art of the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez and the National Association of Architecture Students.
In 2014, he obtained the degree of architect from the University of Sonora by presenting his thesis entitled "Proposal for the Revitalization of the sector called La Plancha, located in the Historic Center of the city of Mérida, Yucatán." This thesis was unanimously approved and received an honorable mention. In addition, in 2017, he studied the Specialty in Sustainable Development at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Sonora. During this period of specialization, he participated in a three-month academic stay in São Paulo, Brazil, in collaboration with the University of Sonora and the UNIP Universidad Paulista (October/December 2017). Finally, he obtained the title of the Specialty in 2018 with the thesis entitled: "Energy sustainability in the construction of sports areas: Colegio Regis Case".
In the construction company MYM Desarrollos, whose main area of focus covers the industrial, residential and service sectors, he acquired the position of Architectural Project and Project Presentation from 2010 to 2020. Later, at Madrid Arquitectos firm, which also is dedicated to similar areas such as residential and services, he took work in the field of Architectural Project, Construction Supervision and Administration during the period from 2020 to 2023.
